This term our topic question is,
'What would a world look like without any trees?'
During the first half term, we are going to identify what rainforests are and where they are located, specifically focusing on South America. We will then compare our lives to tribes along the Amazon River and how we can support local farmers in regards to fair trade.
During the second half term, we will be looking at the recent hot topic - palm oil. Identifying why we use palm oil, where it comes from and its effect on the environment. Then for our final project, we will be using our knowledge to persuade people to think about using non-palm oil products.
Spellings are given out on Fridays and tested on Friday. Please encourage your children to practise their spellings.
Swimming on Tuesday afternoons.
Reading should be completed daily.
Please practice times tables.
Children are encouraged to bring in a water bottle to keep in the classroom throughout the day. This is particularly important as the weather gets warmer.
