'Nursery's Weekly Workshop'

Every Monday and Thursday at 2:30pm parents and carers are invited to attend our weekly workshop.

This gives you the chance to find out what your child has been learning at nursery and how you can help them at home.

In the Autumn Term we asked the question

'What makes me, me?'

We are learning all about ourselves and in particular exploring our five senses:

touch, taste, sight, hear and smell.

We have learnt that we use our eyes to see. We used the binoculars we made to go on a looking walk around the school. We used the sentences: I can see ....

We have learnt that we use our nose to smell. We carefully used the scissors to cut up the herbs to make our own smelly pot.

We have learnt that we use our hands and skin to touch and feel. Miss Jones asked us to touch what was in the trays. How does it feel?

Jolly Phonics Songs

During our Letters and Sounds sessions have been learning to hear and say the initial sounds in words.

To help us remember these sounds we have been singing and acting out these songs.
